Port of Liverpool has purchased 8 ShoreTension Dynamic Mooring Units to ensure a safe mooring of vessels berthed at the recently build LP2 container berth.
Strong tidal current from the river Mersey and the exposed location directly to the Irish Sea did require additional mooring capacity. Apart from providing a safe mooring, ShoreTension also prevents mooring line failure and increases the terminal performance.
