Horizontal ShoreTension System - HST
With the ShoreTension dynamic mooring system, vessels of any size can be firmly secured to a quay or jetty. The ShoreTension system significantly reduces movement caused by swell, strong winds, currents or passing vessels. This movement is currently always present in the traditional mooring method using vessel mooring lines.

Secured
All ShoreTension systems have been certified by Lloyd’s Register in London and are available in hazardous area classification (ATEX/IECEx) versions. Horizontal systems have a tensile capacity of 60 t.
In extreme conditions, the tremendous pressure on a vessel can cause the mooring lines to snap with potentially serious consequences. As ports have experienced in the past, this is definitely a realistic hazard for people and infrastructure. The ShoreTension system mitigates this risk significantly. Vessels are moored much more stable and therefore much safer.
Vessel motion reduction up to 90%
Shortens turnaroud time
No need of external energy
Worldwide monitoring
Stability
The flexibly deployable ShoreTension system aims to allow terminals to operate more safely and efficiently. Because vessels are moored alongside a berth with greater stability, the ShoreTension system promotes unhindered operations and significantly reducing risks.

Dynamic
The ShoreTension system is always added on top of the conventional mooring arrangement of a vessel. Once the dynamic mooring system is installed, no additional external electric power is required to operate the system.
The user is able to remotely monitor ShoreTension® performance and mooring data in real-time through a dedicated website.
