Installation

The ShoreTension® is positioned on the quay in between two bollards or strong points. One end of the ShoreTension® is attached to the quay bollard. The ShoreTension® mooring line, which is connected to the moveable part of the device, is guided by a sheave block which is connected to a second quay bollard to the vessel bollard.

Stand-alone

The ShoreTension system only has to be powered once to activate the system and position the mooring line. After that, it functions stand-alone without the need for external energy. This makes it easy to flexibly position and deploy the ShoreTension system anywhere on the berth. It is possible to integrate both horizontal and vertical ShoreTension system units on quay walls and jetties.

Vessel motion reduction up to 90%

Shortens turnaroud time

No need of external energy

Worldwide monitoring

Optimal operation

Depending on the customer’s vessel size, weather conditions and local conditions, ShoreTension® engineers can determine the number of ShoreTension systems required for safe and stable mooring of vessels. The ShoreTension® performs optimally with all loads. ShoreTension® is certified by Lloyds Register in London with a SWL of 60 metric tons for the horizontal unit and 100 metric tons for the vertical units.

Remote control

Every ShoreTension® has its own wireless controller. This enables the captain of the vessel, the terminal operator and other parties to remotely monitor all data, including the tension on the ShoreTension mooring lines, in real-time.

Through e-mail or text message, all parties involved will be automatically notified if a certain parameter of ShoreTension approaches the pre-established limits and if additional measures are required. The electronic wireless system also logs a complete data history.

ShoreTension® keeps all mooring lines at the same, constant tension
