Port of Chancay – Peru

The Port of Chancay is a new deep-water terminal on Peru’s central coast, about 60–75 km north of Lima – developed and operated by COSCO.

The Pacific Ocean generates large southwesterly swells, particularly during the Southern Hemisphere winter (May–August). These swells can impact berthing and cargo handling. With the introduction of ShoreTension, vessel motion is reduced to the minimum and turnaround times are shortened.
