Today, we are faced with significant climate goals. Since the inception of ShoreTension®, we have always been mindful of the environment. By development and design, ShoreTension® became self-sustaining in power. Hence, we proudly claim it as the only ‘Green solution for safe mooring.’ No external power consumption, no emissions. Zero emission.
Zero CO2 emission
The ShoreTension system only requires activation at the moment the vessel berths and ShoreTension® deploys it’s dedicated mooring line. Whilst paying out the line, the ShoreTension system stores energy internally. When the peak loads are over, the ShoreTension system heaves in the line with the energy stored and returns to it’s initial position.
Green solution
For safe mooring. ShoreTension ensures that ships can be loaded and unloaded faster. Shipping companies save a lot of time and money as a result. This allows for much more efficient work with higher returns. Because the ShoreTension systems have zero emissions, we can proudly say that we are the Green solution for safe mooring!
Climate goals
Despite the enormous efforts currently being made by all maritime parties to produce and operate more sustainably, it is still far from sufficient to meet the climate goals of 2030. We are therefore proud that our systems, once pressurized, no longer require external energy. Not even electrically. The cylinder is a stand-alone system. Currently, we are busy testing to make the cylinder fully operationally CO2 neutral. This way, the systems are self-sufficient in their energy needs.
